David Lewin, AIC, graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a Bachelor of Arts degree in CRIMINAL JUSTICE in 1978. He has been in the insurance claims industry since 1978, and has held the positions of Claims Adjuster, Claims Supervisor, Casualty Specialist, Branch Claims Manager, Regional Claims Manager and Vice President.
Mr. Lewin has extensive knowledge and experience in multi-line property and casualty adjusting and litigation claims handling, for both personal and commercial lines. Mr. Lewin also managed several CAT teams of up to 50 CAT adjusters, and has extensive international claims experience having handled claims in other countries worldwide.
Mr. Lewin's experience includes serving as an auxiliary police officer, a Special Arbitrator for Arbitration Forums, Inc and an auditor for AIPSO, a federal regulatory agency.

Russell
D. Haig, CCLA, holds Bachelor of Arts degree in FINE ARTS from the State University of New York. He has been in the insurance claims industry since 1967 after receiving initial training as a Special Agent for the US Army Intelligence Command. Mr. Haig has held the positions of Claims Adjuster, Casualty Unit Manager, Assistant Claims Manager, Vice President, Controller and Chief Financial Officer.
Mr. Haig has extensive knowledge and experience in multi-line property and casualty claims handling in both personal and commercial lines. He is well versed in the field of background investigations and surveillance. Mr. Haig has handled claims, investigations and CAT supervision in over 40 states and many regions of the Far Pacific.

David Ahmuty attended Boise State University majoring in BUSINESS MANAGEMENT. Mr. Ahmuty has been in the construction estimating industry for 10 years. He is a Certified Graduate Associate of the National Association of Home Builders and has served on the Board of Directors of the Building Contractors Association of Southwest Idaho.
Mr. Ahmuty has also served on the Board of Directors of the Idaho Remodelors Association.
Mr. Ahmuty specializes in property appraising, focusing on residential and small commercial buildings .

George Pandelidis graduated from San Joaquin Delta College with a degree in Social Science. Since 1987, he has been employed in construction management, cleaning and deodorization, document processing, business development and marketing. Mr. Pandelidis has extensive experience estimating residential and commercial restoration projects.
Mr. Pandelidis holds a certification from the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration (IICRC) and currently is working towards the completion of his Associate in Claims (AIC) designation.
Mr. Pandelidis is a member of the Independent Brokers Association (IBA), Sacramento Claims Association (SCA), CCNC, IPA and a member of the board of Property Claims Forum. He is a past Board Member and past President of the American River Kiwanis.
Mr. Pandelidis specializes in property appraising of residential and commercial losses.

Robert D. (Bob) Bailie, attended college in New York and Boston prior to beginning his claims career in Atlanta with a nationwide independent firm in 1968. He progressed through offices in Boston, MA and Middletown, NY eventually becoming the Adjuster-in-Charge of Caribbean Claims based in St. Croix, US Virgin Islands.
Bob later relocated to Southern California with a statewide independent adjusting company in 1981 and settled in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1987.
Mr. Bailie has considerable experience in all type of losses; casualty, property, personal lines as wells as commercial lines.

Rick Beers, attended Sacramento State College and has been in the insurance industry since 1967, beginning his career in Sacramento, he has been in Redding since 1974.
Mr. Beers has worked directly for several major insurance carriers, has been an independent adjuster for eleven years and has extensive estimating experience in both personal and commercial lines. He has completed the Seminar on Evaluation of Earthquake Damages (SEED).
Prior to entering the insurance industry he worked for four years in commercial building construction in Sacramento. He is a member of the California Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters and the Shasta County Claims Association.
During his career he has handled subrogation cases for numerous carriers and is a past member of National Association of Subrogation Professionals.
He also performs Workers Compensation investigations, is a member of California Association of Licensed Investigators and a past member of Certified Investigative Professionals.

Thomas Z. Perez, General Adjuster (GA), BA, AA graduated from California State University, Fresno with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work in 1980. Mr. Perez also holds a General Contractors license as an added credential in his estimating credibility. He has been in the insurance claims industry since 1988, and has held the positions of General Adjuster, Special Claims Adjuster, Large Loss Adjuster, Catastrophe Claims Large Loss Adjuster, and Catastrophe Claims Supervisor.
Mr. Perez has extensive knowledge and experience in commercial property and homeowners claims adjusting. Mr. Perez also managed several CAT teams of up to 50 CAT adjusters, and has traveled 18 states adjusting and managing catastrophe claims including flood, fire, tornadoes, hail, hurricanes and earthquakes.
Mr. Perez has served on arbitration boards, served as an expert witness in criminal investigations, and as an expert in Errors and Omissions cases. Mr. Perez is fluent in Spanish.

Julie Kern, Appraiser graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology in 2002.
Ms. Kern’s experience includes several years working in a trim carpentry shop, office management with the Sacramento County Probation Department and she has been a career counselor to college students. Ms. Kern has extensive experience in marketing and promotion of various services. She is a licensed Realtor and a Member of the National Association of Realtors.
Ms. Kern specializes in property appraising, focusing on residential and light commercial buildings.

Jeff Bowers, Graduated with a BA from Rutgers University and has worked in the insurance industry as Adjuster, Claims Manager, Vice President and TPA for over thirty years. Mr. Bowers has experience handling multi-line claims for several prominent insurance carriers and independent adjusting firms. He has extensive knowledge regarding fraud and special investigations as well as specialty and heavy-equipment claims.

Bill Hertoghe is a law enforcement professional with over 30 years of investigative experience; he recently retired as a former deputy director with the California Lottery where he was chief of investigation for the Security/Law Enforcement Division. While at the Lottery he developed the first undercover program for lotteries in North America that focused on retailer fraud. The program was featured on Dateline - NBC in 2009.
Mr. Hertoghe also served with the Sacramento Police Department (Officer), the Placer County Sheriff’s Department (Deputy/Coroner), the State of California Office of the Inspector General (Deputy Inspector General In-Charge), the Board of Parole Hearings (Senior Investigator) and the Rocklin Police Department (Captain).
After earning a B.A. in Criminal Justice, a M.A. in Education and a M.S. in Business he went on to graduate from the prestigious POST Command College (Class 14). Mr. Hertoghe is a licensed private investigator, an adjunct professor in the community college system and courtroom expert on police procedures and use of force.
Bill Hertoghe is Vice President of the Haig & Lewin Special Investigation Unit, focusing on fraud detection and investigation.
